Middle calculator
Enter the Over line and price from one book, the Under line and price from another, and your total stake. You'll get each stake and the result for every outcome.
- Lands on 25–26 (both win)

- −$4.55
- Break-even middle rate
- 4.8%
Assumes whole-number results, like yards, points or receptions.
How it works
Over 24.5 at -110 and Under 26.5 at -110, $100 total: $50 on each. If the result is 25 or 26, both win and you collect $190.91, a $90.91 profit. Anything else, one side wins $95.45 back and you lose $4.55.
That pair breaks even if the result lands on 25 or 26 about 4.8% of the time. Whether it's a good bet comes down to how often the stat really lands in the gap.
Questions
What is a middle in sports betting?
Betting the Over at a low line on one book and the Under at a higher line on another. If the result lands between the two lines, both bets win. If it doesn't, one side wins and the other loses, usually costing you a little of the vig.
How should I split my stake?
This calculator splits it so either side alone pays the same, which keeps a miss small and the same whichever way it misses. Some bettors put more on the side they think is likelier; that turns part of the bet into a lean rather than a middle.
Is a middle worth it?
Compare the break-even middle rate with how often the result really lands in the gap. A two-yard gap on rushing yards or a one-point gap on points lands far less often than a key number in a football spread, so a wide gap or cheap prices matter.
What happens if the result lands exactly on a line?
On a whole-number line, that side pushes and refunds its stake while the other side's result stands. The calculator shows those outcomes separately when either line is a whole number.
Middle or arb?
If both sides have the same line, there is nothing in between, so it can only be an arb. When the prices on a middle are good enough that a miss still makes money, it is both: guaranteed profit with a bonus if it middles.
