The lines surfaced on Betravon come from operators with very different legal footprints. The summary below reflects our understanding as of August 2026, but operator availability changes frequently as states grant or revoke licenses, operators acquire competitors, or regulators clarify product rules. Always verify with the operator and your state regulator before assuming a book is available where you are.
Operators licensed by one or more US state gaming regulators for online sports wagering. State codes reflect online availability only; some operators also offer retail (in-person) wagering in additional states.
These platforms are regulated under each state's daily fantasy sports statute, which is separate from sportsbook licensing. Pick'em-against-the-house formats have faced regulatory challenges throughout 2024–2026, and most operators have switched to peer-to-peer formats in some states and withdrawn from others entirely (recently affecting NY, FL, MI, NC, MS, OH, and others). These are not sportsbooks. They are exchanges registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission as designated contract markets, where you buy and sell yes/no contracts on an outcome with other users and the venue takes a fee rather than a position. Because they are regulated federally under commodities law rather than by state gaming regulators, they operate in a number of states where online sports wagering is not licensed at all.
Whether that federal framework overrides state gambling law is unresolved and actively being litigated. As of August 2026, federal courts in New Jersey and Tennessee have found that it likely does, while regulators and courts in several other states have moved to block sports event contracts, and the CFTC has sued states in defence of its own jurisdiction. Minnesota's ban took effect on August 1, 2026. The picture changes month to month and differs by platform, so we publish no state list here on purpose — open the platform's own eligibility check, which is the only source that reflects today's injunctions.
Two further differences worth knowing: the minimum age is set by the venue rather than by a state gaming regulator and is not uniform across them — several admit users at 18, while Novig requires 21 — and a contract's price is set by other traders rather than by a bookmaker, so it moves with order flow and can be thin in low-volume markets.
These operators are not licensed by any US state regulator. They accept US customers from offshore jurisdictions (typically Curaçao or Panama) under their local licenses, but they are not regulated by US gaming authorities, do not offer the consumer protections required of licensed US operators, and may be prohibited under your state's law regardless of how their site appears to function. They are listed here only because their lines appear in our comparison feed; their inclusion is not an endorsement.
